STANDAR | TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

Last Updated: February 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“the User” or “the Engineer”) and Standar (“the Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or accessing the platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.

1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE AND REGIONAL EXPANSION

Standar provides a proprietary, AI-driven technical intelligence engine designed to process and interpret construction norms, building codes, and material protocols.

  • Expansion & Jurisdiction: Our engine is currently optimized for the Colombian regulatory environment (e.g., NSR-10). However, the Company is actively expanding its services to include specialized intelligence for Mexico (NMX), Brazil (ABNT), and other Latin American markets. * User Responsibility: Users operating outside of Colombia acknowledge that while the Company is scaling, they must ensure the regional context of their queries matches their project location.

2. PROFESSIONAL DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Standar is a decision-support tool. It is not a licensed engineering firm and does not provide professional certification.

  • No Professional Substitute: The intelligence provided is for informational and advisory purposes only. It does not replace the professional judgment, site-specific analysis, or legal sign-off of a licensed engineer.
  • Final Accountability: All structural signatures, execution protocols on-site, and final regulatory compliance remain the exclusive legal responsibility of the User. * Limitation of Damages: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Standar shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages, including but not limited to structural failures, project delays, financial losses, or personal injury resulting from decisions made using the platform.

3. OWNERSHIP OF DATA AND THE "TECHNICAL LEDGER"

Our business model relies on the aggregation of technical intelligence to improve the construction industry.

  • Ownership of Consults: By using the platform, you generate technical queries, interactions, and project-specific contexts (“Consult Data”). You hereby grant and acknowledge that Standar holds the exclusive, perpetual, and global ownership rights to all Consult Data generated.
  • Anonymization & Usage: Standar uses this data in an anonymized and aggregated format to build a proprietary "Technical Ledger." This ledger provides high-level market intelligence and "Control Tower" dashboards to industry suppliers (e.g., material manufacturers) to help them understand field-level challenges and product performance.

4. ABSOLUTE PRIVACY OF PERSONAL DATA

We are committed to the highest standards of data privacy regarding your identity.

  • Non-Disclosure: Your personal information—including name, contact details, and professional credentials—is classified as Protected Data.
  • No Sale of Identity: Standar explicitly guarantees that your personal data is not subject to be sold, traded, or rented to any third party. Our revenue is derived from technical trends and material insights, never from the sale of our users' private contact information.

5. PROHIBITED MISBEHAVIOR AND SYSTEM INTEGRITY

To protect our intellectual property and the reliability of our engine, the following "Misbehaviors" are strictly prohibited:

  • Unauthorized Automation: The use of bots, scrapers, crawlers, or any automated system to harvest data from the platform is a material breach.
  • Reverse Engineering: Any attempt to decompile, disassemble, or reverse-engineer the proprietary logic and specialized LLM fine-tuning of the Standar engine.
  • Malicious Injection: Inputting intentionally false or misleading technical data to corrupt the engine's learning models.
  • Commercial Redistribution: Users may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute Standar’s generated responses as a standalone commercial product.

6. FEES AND ACCESS

Access to the core technical consultation engine is currently provided to individual civil engineers free of charge. Standar reserves the right to introduce premium service tiers or subscription models for advanced enterprise features in the future, provided that such changes are communicated with reasonable notice.

7. TERMINATION AND MODIFICATION

  • Right to Terminate: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access immediately, without prior notice, for any violation of the "Prohibited Misbehavior" section or if your use of the platform poses a risk to system integrity.
  • Amendments: Standar may update these Terms to reflect our regional expansion (e.g., adding Mexico or Brazil-specific legal clauses). Continued use of the platform after such updates constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
